he might not be on the starting rosters but when updates for the roster he will probably be on

Well i think the rosters in Madden games are from the previous year. Because on the Chicago Bears Rex Grossman was in Madden 09 and in 2008's football season Orton was the real quarterback. So i would assume hes not in this years edition, but he'll be there next year.
