I just bought a car in Sims 3 and once I bought it, it wouldn't let me put it down. I tried for about an hour different things like making a garage for it but it still wouldn't let me put it down. Please help me.

You have to buy a parking space to put down a car. You buy it in the same menu you bought the car at.
