So how hot is it where you are?

I've heard about a big heat wave in like the eastern US or something and that its extremely hot in some places. Its ironic, cause I live in "sunny California" up in the northern bay area, and there hasnt been a day over 90 degrees at all this summer. I swear. I just looked at the thermometer and it is 78 degrees right now. Its been this spring- like weather here for the last week. So how hot is it where you are?

It's only 82° today in the armpit of Iowa. Muggy as mother, though. Sure am glad I got my mowing done nice and early this morning. The other day when it was 102° I thought I was going to have a stroke.

        1. The temperature has been completely unbearable. I live in Connecticut and over the course of 4-6 days, the temperature has averaged almost 97ºF and peaks of over 102ºF constantly. The temperature has actually been so horrific that the power went out on Saturday for over 8 hours because of the power usage on our street.

            1. 102 degrees here in Arizona, it's been going up and down lately, last week it was 110 degrees and here this Thursday it will be 109 degrees again. I hate heat.

              1. Today wasn't too bad. A storm went through Illinois, so we got a little bit of much needed rain :)

                I think a heat advisory was active for 6 days this week, though. Pretty much every weekday last week hit 95 degrees or higher. But the dew point was over 70, so it felt much, much hotter.

                1. NYC is in the 90-100 mark. Has been for a few days now. It just rained on my walk home from work. That cooled things down a bit. Gotta give the AC a break. Just think of the bill!
