Q: How do you time throws in DOA 4?

How do you time throws in DOA 4?

I have been playing this game on and off since it came out and the main reason i always put it down is that i get so annoyed with the throw system. i try to throw when someone is blocking and my characters hands will go out but wont grab them...it seems like it works 1 out of 5 times. WTF

I'm pretty sure that when an opponent is blocking you cannot throw them, you can only throw them when they are moving towards you, or just after they have done a move.

Blocking cancels the throw out basically.
