I really like it. It's a beautiful game, has great action, and some depth to it that's missing from a lot of shooters. Lots of tense moments in that game. I'd recommend getting the PC version if possible because it looks amazing runnning at max specs, but the console versions are great too.
An amazing game. If you want you can compare it to Fallout, since this game takes place in Post-Apocalyptic Russia. All though this game is focused much more on story, graphics, and realism. All of that was done beautifully. Like Transience8985 said, I recomend getting it for PC. It runs a lot smoother on the computer.
P.S. If you have a Steam account on your computer, buy it for whatever cheap price it is; it's like $14, really not that much.
Metro 2033 is one of the most recent games I've rented so I can give a recent outlook on it. It is a sight for the eyes since the atmosphere and setting of the game is excellent. You really feel the loneliness and the depression of the survivors huddling down in the Russian metro. It had a lot of depth atmosphere- wise, which I like, but you also have to admit that the gameplay could have been better. The graphics look like a 2007 game and it was made in 2010, and it is very glitchy. Add the fact that the gameplay mostly just feels like a call of duty game with some bad stealth parts thrown into a unique setting, you can tell they could have done better gameplay- wise. I would give the game a 7 out of 10, I would say its worth the rent. I hope they fix the problems in metro: last light and the trailers look really good, Im really looking forward to it. If they fix all the problems, and it seems like they did, it could be like a 9 out of 10 material. I cant wait.
I have played a little bit of it and it's good. Its just like half-life with the puzzles, the shooting parts, and all that other stuff. But it haves an RPG-like twist to the game where you can make your own choices in the game. Overall, its defenitely worth playing. Like I said, I played not alot of it, but it should be good enough to get you into the storyline and gameplay. Enjoy!
