This might sound dumb, but I'm kinda new, how do you change the picture for the avatar?

You go on answers, then "My Q&A", below what the default avatar is, there's an "Edit" option, click on it and you will see Upload Picture, choose a file which is the avatar you're going to pick, after you chose the file, click on "Upload", and that's pretty much it.
