well it depends how old u are to some people it may be scary but to me i prefer games like silent hill and resident evil those types of games are scary but in my opinion none of the fear games are scary

I agree with smasherman. If Silent Hill and Resident Evil are lot scarier than the FEAR games. FEAR is more creepy/freaky, it's also more action oriented than the others. It's basically a FPS with some atmospheric parts. But I enjoyed them and am waiting for the 3rd one, so I give them a thumbs-up.

I found the first fear had a few jump out of your seat moments the last 2 were more about horror and less about scares.

F.E.A.R. 1 was scary in the sense of the atmosphere because your character at random times would start hallucinating and you'd have to walk through the hallucination, most of which had jump-out-and-scare you moments. F.E.A.R. 2 was based more on the action than the scary. F.E.A.R. 3 mixes the two, but concentrates more on the action and Co-op modes rather than the scary factor
