How do you feel about Infinity Ward dropping the "Call of Duty" from the Modern Warfare franchise?

Is it a good branding decision to separate the two? Will we see the series become even more fragmented?

I'm not too concerned about it. Regardless of the name they attach to the game, it's still made by the same developers. Just give me more of what they dished out in COD4 and I'll be fine. Now, is it a good decision? I think so. They've established themselves as "the good call of duty developer," and on top of that COD4 was a runaway hit. They're just trying to capitalize on that. If this fragments the COD series, then so be it. As long as the games are good, it's all... well... good.

  1. their seems to be an element to the reason why infinity ward is doing this that is unknown to us. we won't be able to tell why they made that choice until it is apparent. it's possible they want to go in a different direction then treyarch or define itself as it's own shooter rather then sharing the limelight with treyarch.

      1. After Call of Duty: World at War, I they did what they had to do. They had to disassociate themselves from the other Call of Duty games.
