Im confused...this game makes me pay 800 microsoft points if I dont own the games box and want to play MULTIPLAYER? dont I already pay microsoft for multiplayer?

Yeah, that seems to be the way things are going. The publishers/developers put those codes there to discourage used sales and rentals, so there's really nothing Gamefly can do about it. If you want to play multiplayer you have to buy the game or pay the 800 MSP for an activation code.

Yes very true. If you buy a game that requires a redeem code, you cannot play it online if you rented it. If you really do want to play it online for the time you have it you can either: Pay the $10 fee or get a temporary free subscription to online

what i did was o to game stop and open the case and write down the code to online multiplayer

Its a bad idea that actually hurts people who buy the game then rent it. It means that if I buy a game like that I can't take it to a friends house and play online with them. Its more of the evolution of DRM.
I can't really blame the publisher for this but taking a game to places and playing is one of the features of buying a boxed game, and taking out functionality of that means they shouldn't charge as much for a copy then.
I wouldn't pay this I would just return the game if you are finished with the multiplayer component. I believe if you buy the game from gamefly you are sent the code along with the box and manual.

well.. the company makes more money by people buying the 60 dollar version so they can play online.. its cheaper if u get it from gamefly and buy the pass. so yea only the box has a code. u can always go online and look at people with free codes and get scammed? :)
