Honestly I don't see a game studio willing to put the time or effort into a bowling game that would make it that compelling. They are more in the category of play and forget which is fine. Its not like bowling has many concepts to take into account.
I am fine with Wii bowling. I found the Kinect bowling game to be easier to fool then the Wii version. Either way I rather go bowling in real life. :)
I'd have to agree that bowling in real life is a lot more fun...and as to why there aren't any "good" bowling games-you'd have to take into account how high the demand actually is for games like that. Most people are likely not interested in titles like that, so the developers don't need to try as hard. When's the last time you ever noticed a bowling-game title up in the top 10 list of most popular games? ....Exactly.
