Yes, it requires the Wii Motion Plus, and it makes good use of it. One the best motion games on the Wii.

Yes it does require the attachment. If you don't have it don't rent this title. I wouldn't suggest getting the motion attachment though unless you have some games you really want to play, Nintendo really didn't offer much content for it and with the Wii successor around the corner I don't see many games ever using it.
If you want an action game and can rent mature games I would recommend the No more heroes games as an alternative they don't need the attachments and are very well done. If you want gun play check out GoldenEye I hear they did a really good job with it.
