They are difficult to directly compare as the gameplay is completely different. Both are excellent games, but I would say Dead Space 2 is the better complete package, mostly because they combat in it is so satisfying. I am on my 5th play through, and I only went through Crysis 2 once. (On a side note, Crysis 2 has much better multiplayer).

They are totally different its all preference, but dead space 2 seems less repetitive

I have not played Crysis 2 yet but I know that Dead Space 2 is very good so if youre basically asking if you should play Dead Space 2, the answer is yes.

I haven't played Crysisi 2 yet, but I have played pretty much every survival horror out there, and Dead Space is by far the best in my opinion. I still own Dead Space, & don't intend to sell Dead Space 2 either. Easily worth rental time if not purchase.

There is a very nice DLC episode you might enjoy as well, though stay away from the DLC equipment packs, as they are overpriced and completely uneccessary... and the bonuses are so slight they should have been free.

They are 2 completely different games with 2 completely different game styles.

Dead Space 2 is a 3rd person over the shoulder survival game, kindof in the same vain as Resident Evil. Kindof. While Crysis 2 is a 1st person shooter.

They are both good games, Crysis 2 multiplayer is better, Dead Space 2's single player is better.
