Mass Effect 2 did deserve to win game of the year over Red Dead Redemption. Although people have different opinions and may like other games that they had a better connection with personally and you cant expect everyone to think mass effect 2 is the best game EVAR. And by the way, have you played Mass effect 1 yet? If you havnt, I suggest you do because you have a better relation to the story and will have pleasure in meeting old crew members and finding tons of people you had interacted with in the campaign or side missions and find tons of awesome references you can only understand if you played the first game. Also you will be able to transfer your mass effect 1 file to mass effect 2 and every decision you made in mass effect 1 will come into effect into 2 and 3 and you will have the most personal play- through ever. I played Mass effect 2 before 1 and than I played 1 and then I played 2 again right after playing 1 and I regretted playing 2 first because I was able to relate 2 everything after playing 1.

Mass Effect 1 gameplay was better. More RPG. I liked it better anyway...

I Know I can't fathom the fact that people even bring up the word Halo or Call of Duty in the same conversation about Mass Effect its just no contest.
