It's a game about crime scene investigation in an open world. Players have to think about clues and read suspects reactions to different lines of questioning to determine if they're lying. Also, there are action sequences, clue collecting sequences, and an open city environment to explore based on 1940's LA. It's definitely fun if you want a detective game that actually makes it feel like you're doing detective work.

Its about the crime that ran rampant in LA during the '40s and '50s. Kinda cut from the same cloth as LA Confidential (the movie). It is a very difficult game to define, because there is definitely action, shootouts, car chases and so on, but that definitely isn't the majority of the game. All in all, it is awesome.

Crime scene investigation in the grand theft auto style gameplay if you played GTA4 it's pretty similar. Heavily story based and may be slow for some but it's an amazing title and will be a GOTY candidate no doubt.

Yes it is fun it's my type of game. Everything i love about it like antique cars, gruesome murders, shooting, jazz music, detective work and what not. Just freaking perfect. lol

Others already described it well. For me the game is great. It has a slow pace a lot of the time bit for me that doesnt matter. Gameplay is great, intuitive it is quite a refreshing change and the story is also excellent. It is not grand theft auto by any means as far as action with shooting and such. They used a new creative camera system for the peoples facial reactions to questioning so that you can read their faces to move interrogations where they need to go. If any of what I or others said intrests you then get it.
