Can you play guitar hero without buying the controller?

Well i played Guitar Hero III in my XBOX360 with my controller (the one you use to play games normally). Pay attention, GUITAR HERO III. IN the new Guitar Hero, the one that is the version whith the band (dont remember the name now), you really have to play with all the instruments since if you connect your controller it is recognized as a microphone. Hope it helped

Nope. Could be a different instrument depending on which Guitar Hero, but yeah... no. You need instruments. You can play Rock Band Unplugged, Frequency, or Amplitude (all music games) without any peripherals.

well....... You can... At least on the wii you can; it's just REALLY difficult to do. The button locations are crappy. Don't expect to be playing Through the Fire and the Flames on expert on just a wii remote.
