I don't think Sega has announced anything about a sequel. While the original game did sell pretty well, it was trashed by reviewers.

Most likeley not. Some things just aren`t meant to go on. But I guess since you`re a Sonic fan (right?) there`s a new game called "Sonic Generations". Its not the confirmed title,but its coming to Xbox 360. ans PSN.
