The best I've played this year is Fallout 3. I don't think I've played any games that have actually come out this year...

Hmm...well I've played Halo Wars the most. Left 4 Dead and Gears were last year so...I guess I'd have to go with Halo Wars. Although Peggle gets a strong honorable mention.

Resident Evil 5 was a lot of fun, if you have a friend to play it with on co-op. If you are in to Street Fighter, you should give SF 4 a whirl...if not you can probably pass as it was incredibly hard and frustrating. Hawx is fun, i would say its worth a rent. I played the demo for Red Faction and it was a lot of fun, you would not believe how satisfying it is to hit somebody with that hammer. I dunno if you wanna go old school but I got Devil Summoner 2 for the PS2 and I am having a blast playing it, it is incredibly addictive.

If you are just renting... I loved the wolverine game, sure it has lots of technical issues, and the story is so so, but it was very satisfying gutting and dismembering people as wolverine. i have a hard time saying buy it because it was very short, but hey I loved it anyway.
