Can Debris Kill You?

Blowing up buildings and taking down trees is great. There is always miscellaneous objects flying around the battlefield, but i always find it odd that you can be bombarded with falling trees and still survive and be killed by one 9 m.m. bullet. Is Battlefield 3 Going to take this game to a new Era and start giving us some flying debris kills and medals?(Solid Title none the less, My fav.)
