The fade does exist in DA2. You do get at least one quests that causes you to go in to it but it's not near as lengthy or annoying (imo) as the experience in the first one :)

Yes. The quest is called "the dream world or whatever it's called in dragon age 2 like in dragon age 1"

The quest is one of two. And it is in the second act with the eleven keeper . You fight two greater demons and a bunch of abomanations, your companions turn on you and it resolves the boys part in the story about 20-35 mind depending on difficulty level.

its called the fade and there is one quest for it. It happens on year two with the half elf who you either sent to the circle or let go to the dalish.
