no it won't continue the story. But I personally think that a fresh new story is best.

there really isn't an ongoing Silent Hill story, the only character that appears in all of them, the most important aspect of all the games, the town of Silent Hill!
But no, as far as it goes, Downpour doesn't have any tie ins to previous games.- 0
