There has to be something to this don't you think?

Games: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (PS3), Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (X360)
Why have one franchise when you can have two, with bells on.
It's because they want to establish the two franchises as distinct properties. Call of Duty will continue to be a World War II series developed by Treyarch, while Modern Warfare will (obviously) be a modern shooter series developed by Infinity Ward.
I think partially they just wanted to make it more distinguishable. I mean if it came out as Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2, how lame would that have been? Pretty 'effing lame is the correct answer.
I just asked this question on this website. And this guy said that there would be too many call of duty's. He also put a URL on his comment and there was an article about it.
