It has to be the odds on favorite of GOTY don't you think? Which game even comes close?

Games: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (PS3), Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (X360)
I feel like I am the only person that is not that excited about MW2. I'm sure it will be a great game, as Infinity Ward has never disappointed. But COD4 was such an immense success, I feel like it will be tough to match it and if they do match it, how can they surpass it? I'm sure a lot of people would take a rehash of COD4 with new multiplayer maps/guns and a new story. I personally feel like they should try something new in terms of the gameplay. The trailers hint at an underwater section, which is somewhat interesting, but I was expecting to see a lot more actual gameplay from the "full" trailer. All I got was more cutscenes. Hopefully we will see a bunch of stuff from E3. And hopefully there will be some other great games unveiled at E3 as well.

Depends on what a Game of the Year is, if it's just a personal favourite then it sure as hell isn't getting my vote, the original is the only COD game I was unimpressed with and got rid of. As far as competition goes, let's see whether BioShock 2 lives up to the original or whether I Am Alive or Prototype are anything to write home about. It's a bit early to say, seeing as we're in the summer drought.

For all systems, there could be a chance that Bioshock 2 and Assassins Creed 2 would get enough votes. If it releases this year, God of War 3 might be in the mix. I think for online play Modern Warfare 2 would beat everyone, but we will just have to wait and see.
