I heard that this game was going to be nothing like the first or second. That's disappointing if it true because the original Saints Row was really good.

No it is going to be really similar to the other two games. The main difference is that instead of having three story lines that all come together at the end, the three stories are intertwined. So when you make decisions in missions for one gang, it affects what missions you can do for other gangs and things like that.

There has been numerous speculations about that. So far there is more rumors than facts. While they have said they wanted to make "Saints Row: The Third" a more blockbuster they still said they wanted to keep the game `fun... The photos they have available are still limited - They have yet to reveal the plot or base functionality of gameplay... So more or less, it is too soon to really tell.
