Ok, so I bought ACCF last week and I've been messing around with it, meeting my neighbors, writing LETTERS!, etc. and I noticed that many of my responses from my neighbors are things like.."I didn't understand your letter," or "try to make some sense next time." So, one day I wrote an explicit letter to one of the people in my town, just to see if I could get some kind of reaction out of them. Apparently, they didn't understand that letter either, which is whatever. The problem is that I just read online that the animals will show those letters to other players. My boyfriend's daughter is ten and she also plays the game. Will they show the letter to her or send it to her? Or does that just mean people on my WiFi friends list? Cuz I don't care if they see it. (it's kinda funny) I just want to make sure she won't. Also, what do I have to do to get them to better understand the letters? I mean how big can the text library for the game be? Do they ever really respond to what you actually wrote?

Hmm, that is a (funny) dilemma. do you all play in the same town? or do you all have different towns. If you all have different towns then no, letters won't go from town to town. if you all play in the same town then.. I dunno. I haven't played City Folk.

on the gamecube version if you send fruit to other animals they would send you a different fruit back. I never really bothered saying much to them as I got the same "You'r talkin' gibblity goop!" (paraphrasing) so. sorry. heres hoping they play in different towns. haha

Yes, they do show the letters to other players signed in under different profiles. There is a good chance she will see it if the game is left to play itself out. If they move away to another town, they carry the letter with them there and continue to show them. Once it is written, it becomes part of that animals permanent history. This may sound awful, (hey they are virtual) but the best thing I can think of is to keep being mean to the animal you wrote the letter to until they move out of town. If you have a second town going and they move there, follow them there and repeat with the bullying. Whack them in the head with a bug net, refuse errands, and so on. If you can chase them out of dodge quickly enough, it will reduce the chances your young player will ever see your rated R correspondence.. Annnndddd no, they don't really catch onto your letters. The main purpose of letter writing to other animals is to send cheats. Supposedly, getting letters keeps them happy, even though they complain about them.
