What do you think of Epic Mickey? Is it hard to figure out or not? And additional ??

I started to play the epic mickey and had no clue what I was doing at first then it got a little easier but I can't seem to figure out Why I can't jump without falling maybe its me but i don't know I just started the game I just want to know is it ganna be hard to figure it out how long do you think a game like this would take to beat

I only played a small part of it (at Best Buy), but it seemed somewhat simple and fun. If you are having trouble jumping, try holding down or tapping the jump button, whatever helps keep Mickey air-born. Also, the camera could be making it harder to jump from platform to platform if it's in a bad spot (I hear the camera isn't very good in the game). My guess is a game like Epic Mickey would be fairly average length, possibly up to 10 hours?
