Question: i just bought a used ps3. it came with a aftermarket controller. how do i sink it? why wont my screen come up?

Answer: Both Ryoshock and Sergeant are right. (Ryoshock about holding the power button to reset the video, and Sergeant on how to sync the controller..) ..here is the thing about the controller though. No aftermarket controller uses the PS3's built in Bluetooth that I know of, so, you can not "sync" it with the Ps3 using the USB cable. All aftermarket controllers REQUIRE the little USB dongle that they came with or else it won't work! So, look for that little USB dongle, if they "forgot" to give that to you as well, take the controller back. Don't let them go "oh, it doesn't need one". because if it's a DreamGear.. it NEEDS the USB adapter!
