Question: Would this game be fun now when when its kind of old

Answer: age doesnt mean a godd@!$ thing. under your flawed logic EVERY new game that comes out is the best game ever and we ALL know thats far from the truth (any sports game, Rage, 3D dot game heros, etc.). and if old game arent fun why does the playstation network put out PS1/PS2 classics for download? just pick it up - unless your one of those Call of Duty fanatics who find fault with every shooter even the ones that are actually good you should like it its a solid 7.5 out of 10 (my rating scale is REALISTIC i dont just hand out 10s like everyone else - NO game deserves a perfect 10) and in my opinion is better than New Vegas minus the added feature (which is a great game too) it has an actual Post-Apocalyptic feel unlike New Vegas which feels like a bad western the guys from Black Isle (closed some time ago) tell a great story thats why Bethesda Softworks picked a lot of them up after they bought the game rights from Interplay
