Question: What do you think about AC coming out so late?

Answer: Although you are right in terms of gaming dollars, really the only game that competes with AC is Batman. Since Batman came out a month earlier I can say you probably don't have to worry too much. So why do games come out so late? There is actually a simple easy answer for this. If you look at it in terms of face value yes too many games in such a short span of time something has to give. A person can only buy so much in one season. However the holidays provide more than one chance for a sale to occur. This isn't true for other parts of the year. When a game comes out in holiday times there is a chance you will buy it yourself, you will get it for xmas or a gift card you received will be used to purchase it. Add the fact that parents knowing little about gaming go into stores and staff is going to point out the latest game titles that just came out as great gift ideas. So over all you will sell more. Do this many releases in June and you have a sinking ship though.
