Ed Boon (The lead for the game) said that each character will have two different fatalities, as well as envriomental fatalities, amounting around 40-50 different fatalities.

Yes it imports a lot of events and such from Mass Effect, as will Mass Effect 3 from Mass Effect 2. I won't spoil anything for you but there are many times when your actions from ME1 will affect the ME2.

There is no new Halo game that has been anounced after Reach. They themselfs have said that they are done with Halo, but there are still many rumors saying that there will be more Halo games or addons to the already made games.
