That is true. Homefront allows you to play the entire campaign or play online multiplayer, but the online play only allows you to level up to 5 without the code. Developers don't make any money on the sale of used games, so this is their way of getting a little something from the used market. If you buy the game used, you have to buy an unlock code to advance beyond level 5 in multiplayer online. BTW, if you select "keep" from GameFly, you get the original case INCLUDING the original unlock code, and since the code was never used it is still valid for play beyond level 5.

Ever? On any system? I'd say Descent on Win95 PC. Recently and on PS3 Red Dead Redemption or Fallout 3.
