The game is rated 'T' for teen for "Animated Blood, Language, Violence". In other words, no, there will be no extreme violence, but there will be some gunfights with phaser weapons against aliens like in the show and movie.

This game is developed for Nauty Dog (Uncharted series), who usually only develops for PS3. Last of Us is another PS3 exclusive.

I agree that it does take forever for the games to get here. it takes like 2 weeks after I send a game back to recieve a new game. With Netflix it only takes about 2 days
