First you put the game in the sleve that has the rating on it review etc. Then put it in the cardboard that says INSERT THIS WAY. Next put it in the envalope that has in the corner a box that inside says NO POSTAGE NECESSARY IF MAILD IN THE UNITED STATES. After that, take off the tape that says on it REMOVE TAPE AND SEAL ENVLOPE and seal then send in your mail box, the post office etc.

do you need a 3ds to play this game or any ds system will work?

You need a 3DS because of not only the size and shape of the cartrige but the visual and feateres (like pedometer).
