Not really, 56 hours in and its fairly the same game, with a slightly different storyline. The hero creation by making cards seems a bit half done, the "vacation days" are typical with jrpgs - the japanese love their fanservice. But the battle system, gear system, level system generation system and graphics as well as cutscenes are about the same.
