I've played the other Infamous games and loved them. Unfortunately this falls short. I'm going to be blu-nt+ and short.
- The kid is a punk. I had zero attachment to him and his "moral" decisions from the start - the writers for this game should be shot.
- The powers are garbage. Seriously, smoke? You gave me electricity (lightning) in previous games and now I'm dealing with smoke? Followed by NEON? The bar was set and I've been seriously disappointed.
- THE PLATFORMING IS HORRIBLE. No longer (even with Neon) do I feel like I'm gliding through the sandbox game with ease and speed. I can't even climb a freakin' building properly for the first 1/3 of the game. I have to find a vent. Do you realize how time consuming it is to go around every single building to find a vent? It's easier to just run the streets.
- The plot is incredibly thin. I can't believe how thin it is, and almost as if they realized it, they tried throwing in extra content (IE Paper Trail) to make up for it. This is ridiculous.
Do not buy this game. If you're looking for fun, don't rent this game. If you are a diehard fan (like myself) give it a shot and see if you can deal with its let-downs compared to its much better PS3 older title counterparts. For Shame - you get a brand new high-end system like the PS4 and you squander it with cra-ppy+ platforming, paper thin storyline, cra-ppy+ powers, and frustrating combat.
If the next one is as bad as this one, I'll no longer be a fan.
+Gamefly: Seriously, what the freak is wrong with your company? Stop putting words a five year old uses on a daily basis in your word filter. Stop pandering to the 1% of people who complain about a word that 99% of 6 year olds know and use, because NOW you've got THIS customer complaining of your cra-ppy+ practices involving word filters.

This game is awesome. If only other games would take a non-linear page out of Second Sons book. The ease of use of super powers (not just fire) and the implementation of the new dualshock 4's capabilities is perfect. Their are moments when you are tagging a wall and you have to shake your controller like a rattle can and use its motion sensor to paint. It feels just like you are making the art yourself. 9 stars! I would have given it 10 if the game was a little longer.
