I got this game with the intent on my daughters (ages 11 and 8) to play and learn how to take care of animals. (side note) My oldest wants to be a vet when she grows up. It became clear to me that this game was a bit over there head at times with some of the wording. The "mini-games" were fun to do and I enjoyed playing it myself. I would say this game is geared for a 5th - 6th grade level.
I rented this game mainly for my girlfriend, and she loved the concept of it, but at one point the controls wouldn't allow you to do what you were suppose to, so she had to quit playing. I wouldn't waste your time renting this one.
I played this through part of the tutorial part and when it had me kill viruses through the microscope and I assume this was on a sample of blood not the real blood - I had to stop playing it. Okay - I know it's just a game, but give me a break! This game insulted all the real veterinarians on the world by downplaying the years of experience and knowledge they need to do their job. This could have been a much better game but it was really bad.
