Review Note: This Review will not talk about the card game itself, only Tag Force 5.
The latest game in the Yu-Gi-Oh psp line up and it does not disappoint. If you have played Tag Force 4 then nothing has really changed this time around. The card list this time around has cards up to Starstrike Blast.
Tag Force 5 takes place during the Yliaster Saga. You, once again, play as Mr. Red Hat who for some reason no one remebers from the last game. You go through the game by first finding someone to become partners and tag duel with. This can be any of the main characters or secondary characters, to beat the game with any of the characters you have to beat that character's 4 plot duels. In order to get to said plot duel you have to fill up that character's heart, to do that you duel, give that character items and talk to them. So it is a rather weak dating sim without the dating part. Once a heart fills that character will ask you to come with them to an even which'll lead to a tag duel, beat that and you move on to the next day. Now you don't have to stay with one character, at the end of each day you spilt with your partner and the following day you start anew. Now there are NPCs that you can not tag with, talking to those people will have effects of them giving you money, entering a tag tournament or other effects.
With this being said, the game can become a grind fest to raise their partner's heart and to get more money to spend on cards, which some people won't have a problem with. All in all people who play the real card game may like this game more than those who don't.
