Okay, I'd like to start by saying that the critic reviews were pretty fair with regard to this game. The graphics are pretty solid, and the workout routines are fairly strenuous. But I actually rented the game to try to learn yoga, and that is the precise reason that I have to give this game a rating of 3. Starting a level 1 yoga lesson in the game felt like walking into an advanced yoga session replete with mediating masters. There was no tutorial and no explanation of good form, just a rapid-fire series of names of poses that this humble novice had never heard before. I could barely process the mechanics of the first pose before I was already expected to be doing the second. This continued for 15 minutes. Unless you already know all the moves and can transition from one to the other without checking on the screen (i.e. you already know yoga), you're not going to be able to keep up. I spent so much time watching to try to figure out how I should be bending and moving, that I ended up getting a stiff neck. You can't really do "down-dog" and keep your eyes on the screen without sacrificing your form a bit. There is a "tutorial button" (press x on the ps2) and pressing it will pause the lesson to explain the pose, but I didn't find it as helpful as it could have been. But yoga aside, the aerobics is pretty intuitive, low-impact, and pretty fun. Bottom line: if you are an exercise enthusiast, this one is for you. For the rest of us, if you want to get in shape, nothing beats a gym.
