Same Game As GB Advance - Better Sound & Graphics

Yggdra Union: We'll Never Fight Alone for PSP is the same exact game as the Game Boy Advance, with the exception of voice acting and better graphics resolution. The storyline is the same, but well done, including great manga art.

That being said, this is still a compelling rock/scissors/paper kind of game with little button mashing. The key to the game is understanding what weapons beat your opponent the easiest. It's an unusual mechanic that is worth checking out if you don't like button mashers, but enjoy strategy picks of card and character pairs. The chance of winning a fight depends on your weapon type, card type picked and timing with Passive and Active battle stances. If you choose correctly, the battles are easily one. Mess up and you're done. What makes it worse, is that if you keep losing, your character tends to fall behind and has a tough time staying in the game.

This game is worth checking out for the odd strategy and fight mechanic. If you prefer more active fighting, though, you should look elsewhere.

When I first saw this game it had alot of bad reviews, but I decided to try it anyway. To tell the truth I think the game is very fun. Only reason I didn't give the game a higher point value is because it doesn't have any side quests and you have to stick to the story.

The combat is very simple. Many people said it was like rock, paper, scissors which is true. The thing they left out though is that scissors can cut rock if a person applies the right skill. The strengths and weaknesses of each class is pretty simple. I would say this game is more for people new to the sRpg game type.

The story is cliche in my opinion. Its about a princess whos kingdom was over taken and she gains allies to help her get her kingdom back. The characters are chibi's and have a kind of cutish anime feel.

I would rent the game, but not buy. If the story didn't force a person to follow it without any free combat or special stages I might of said it was a good buy. The game itself is pretty fun, but only if you visuals more then action based games like FF7 crisis core.

I am new to card based battles. The games colorful characters attracted me to play it and give it a shot. After one hour of playing, I was hooked. I found this game to be really challenging. The card system is really easy to understand, that even a chimp can play. The story is ok, and the game is kind of long. But the only down side of the game is the ending sequence. Yggdra Union is a game worth checking out.
