But four major problems prevent Yakuza Dead Souls from being a game one must own.
A) The aiming system/ or lack of it.
B) Not having the choice to skip cut scenes
c) Interaction between characters should have used all voice overs. Not reading endless dialogue.
D) Lack of save spots in infection areas.
For me these four elements made it hard for me to think of a reason to own Yakuza Dead Souls. The graphics are cool. Game play is easy to pick. The open air environment puts it in the realm of FALLOUT.
But the four things I pointed out earlier make this a fun game to rent but not own until you can pick it up for $10-15 dollars.
This game is a waste of time. Im pretty sure the whole game ins in Japanese with english subtitles, which I dont really mind reading but when they dont even update the game to reflect what is being said its a total fail. The graphics are horrible for a PS3 game. They looks like late ps2/xbox games. Everytime you shoot a zombie it makes a musical grunt/moan which is really annoying since they take quite a few bullets to kill. There isnt even voice overs in the game while just running around talking to people. That is a standard for games today. I didnt realize that this game was from the Yakuza series at first, I never played any of them and I love Zombie games so I got this. I was shocked when I got this game the day after it released on Gamefly and it was still Available Now. I decided to read some reviews if there was any and after I saw that Sega made it I knew I was in trouble. I feel like everything Sega makes is so far behind, that they dont have the funds to make a nice looking/fun playing game. I played for about 45 mins and only killed 4 zombies and only talked to a few people. Some might say I didnt give this game a chance but in all honesty it was that bad. Dont waste time getting this.
