Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z was supposed to launch on March 4, but Tecmo Koei has quietly slipped it back by two weeks. In announcing the launch of a free tie-in comic book, the publisher confirmed yesterday that the undead spin-off is now due to hit PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on March 18. Read more

Team Ninja's undead action-y spin-off Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is getting a PC release, publisher Tecmo Koei announced today. It's slated to launch via Steam on the same day as the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, in "early 2014." There's no word yet on whether it'll have any fancy PC features. Read more

Keiji Inafune's zombie-slaying ninja 'em up revealed last week under the codename 'Yaiba' is, in fact, Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, starring a fallen ninja resurrected as a cyborg to slay Ryu Hayabusa. A collaboration between series creator Team Ninja, Inafune's Comcept, and Lost Planet 3 developer Spark Unlimited, it's being made for unspecified consoles. Read more

Keiji Inafune worked on Capcom's big two zombie 'em up series during his long reign as producer there, Dead Rising and Resident Evil, and now he's working on a new zombie game at his own studio Comcept. Having previously sent a photojournalist and a motorcross champion up against the undead masses, his mysterious new game codenamed 'YAIBA' will give them a more memenificent foe: a ninja. Read more
