Very Good

I don't usually like JRPGs but this one was actually pretty fun for a while. The battle system wasn't confusing just for the sake of only attracting pseudo-intellectuals and Japanese children. It was actually easy to grasp and fun to use. I won't fault the game for its poor graphics, this is the Wii after all. A lot of cut scenes actually look pretty nice for this system. The game is kinda slow to pick up and the story and dialogue are kinda cheesy/boring, but the gameplay makes up for it in my opinion. The only problem I had with the gameplay is the arrow that directs you on the way to your next mission. It was accurate enough, but if your next mission happened to be on top of a large cliff which you proceeded to fall off you'll have to spend longer than you probably want to trekking to find a way back up. There's no way to restart at a checkpoint so the best you can do is load a saved game if you want to cut out all that extra traveling. So yeah, save often.

Boring...for me

Maybe the game gets a lot better in the latter half, but I found the game to be pretty boring and formulaic. The dialogue is very nice and the environments and combat are fairly impressive as well. The game really fell flat in its pacing and story for me. The idea/premise was nice, but the game's story just too predictable and slow. Again, I did not finish the story. I stopped playing after I reached the Bionis Head after killing the Telethia.

Should Have Been on PS3 or Xbox 360!

If you can get past the crummy graphics then this game is great. Innovative combat system and solid storyline. But the bottom line is that the Wii is extremely outdated in the graphics department and it hurts this game. The visuals should match the innovation and story, and they do not here, simply because the Wii lacks the power.
