Was disappointing, but still worth a play through

It was fun, and luckily it was short, or my opinion might have changed...
Overall all you do is pretty straight forward missions where you beat a big group of baddies, sometimes with partners and then after you're done that you go to your next location, read some dialogue and then rinse and repeat... the boss battles for the most part other then maybe 2 of them were very disappointing, there was 3 in the game that were literally just color swatches of each other, pretty lame BUT the game is worth a play, just don't expect too much of it, if you're a fan of the X-men world, give it a rent if not then don't bother.
Pros:
- X-men characters/world is a pro by default
- Your power development gets better and more interesting throughout the game, they did that part right.
- You get to play 1 of 3 characters that aren't already part of the X-Men universe.
Cons:
- Only 3 characters/powers to choose from, virtually no customization aside from suits that are already other mutants costumes.
- It was promised as some new epic x-men RPG, it was just a standard Ultimate Alliance style beat em' up.
- Super linear, even with all the dialogue "choices" and faction choosing and the fact you get to pick from 3 different characters there is almost no change to the story either way, other then the overall ending.
- Overall disappointing, they get your hopes high making you think that you're going to get to create your own mutant and powers and run around sandbox style and actually change the world and the way the story turns out, but that's not even close and overall makes this game less enjoyable because of how much they raise your expectations.
