Word Jong is probably one of the better "word puzzle" games for the DS. It doesn't dumb down word games or think that you must be 6 years old if you're playing a video game.
Game play is a mix of Scrabble and solitaire. (I don't care what the name denotes or the other reviews state, there's barely any Mahjong references here other than the letters are on tiles and you can't use one unless it's clear.) The object is to create words with the tiles available. You have to clear them all to win. It's more fun than it sounds.
For a nice bonus, you get a new puzzle every day where you can try to beat the score of an animal that's predetermined. It's fun, and you can jump around on the calendar to try to beat as many animals as you want.
For fun, there's a bonus system that's a lot like the XBOX 360 awards system. Earn butterflies for achieving milestones (win 7 games, etc.).
The vocabulary is a little weird, but better than most.
My biggest complaint is that there's no HINT system. Also, the UNDO button is touchy. Overall, it's fun but not the greatest game out there.
