I heard about this game through youtube when I watched dark souls videos, and someone said it was a good game and they were right. so far this game is enjoyable to me.
you play as garalt of rivera (I think that's how you spell his name) a witcher who helps people uses swords and magic which I find awesome.
the combat is nice and its very challenging.
the plot is pretty much you try to protect this king he gets killed by the guy in the beginning cutscene and garlt gets blamed for it when he didn't do it and so now garlyt tries to prove hes innocent and not guilty. the guy who killed the king knows about garlt and tried to frame him from the beginning for some odd reason and I am enjoying the sidequests and plot

Eh, you have to play the first game before handling this one... other wise there is quite a learning curve...A big plus is choices... lots of choices... what skillset do I want to master? Choices make up for the lack of an open world and if you hadn't mastered the control scheme kiss your chances of beating this game goodbye... non generic but seriously, cursing like sailorsI doesnt seem to fit the era... the story in my opinion killed the game the most, and after so many sidequests I felt like I was wasting my time..

This game I guess is a matter of opinion. The controls and gameplay are solid, but when it come down to RPGs, I like them to be open-world with lore/exploration, rather than narrative/decision-making. I much preferred Skyrim over The Witcher 2 for this reason.
