Not for the Solo Gamer, Bring a Friend!

This is basically a $10 game if you picked it up in a bundle with a Wii-mote. With that said, it's a decent little collection of mini-games that showcase some of the Wii's unique control abilities. You will want to play this with a friend in order to really enjoy the majority of the games, as they can be quite boring when playing by yourself.
Of the available mini-games, Tanks stood out as being the most fun (both single and multi-player), and seemed to offer the most replay value and challenge. I would definitely recommend plugging in the nunchuck for it, though, as the controls for that particular mini-game can be tough without it.
Some of the games were a bit of a letdown, and will likely get neglected after the initial play-through. Ping Pong is probably the most disappointing, but the Laser Hockey game helps absorb some of that disappointment by at least covering the "Pong" aspect fairly well.
Overall, there's not a ton of replay value in Wii Play, and the novelty will probably wear off kind of quick. It's a nice title to use in combination with Wii Sports when you want to introduce somebody to the Wii console. If you need an extra Wii-mote, then I'd definitely recommend just picking up the bundle that includes Wii Play.
