Back in 2004 a game was brought to the world of small proportions, but as people caught wind of this exciting new game, its fan base grew and grew and grew. This game was called Katamari Damacy. And of course the game could only get bigger as its sequel was released earlier this year simply titled, We Love Katamari. And who couldn’t love this game. This is one of the most fun and addicting games that I have ever played. And even though the concept is exactly the same as the first one, the game is completely different.
The story goes as such, fresh of the success of the Original Katamari, the Prince and King of All Cosmos are celebrating their victory. Now a new challenge awaits them, keeping their fans happy through requests. You play as the Prince fulfilling these requests. They range from rolling up fireflies so a student has enough light to study, to help a sumo wrestler gain enough weight so he can go up in the ranks. Now after hearing something like that I bet you all are thinking, “That’s great DK. But, what makes this game special?” The answer is simple, you can roll up whatever the heck you want. If you want to roll up fencing, then go ahead and roll it up. Buildings? Heck yes you can roll up buildings. People? Absolutely. I’m sure that the people in the game don’t look like anybody you know. You roll up things as small as seashells, to as large as the Statue of Liberty. From pebbles to the Great Wall of China. From leaves to the country of Russia! Nothing is out of bounds. And that’s only part of the fun. You also have an excellent sounds track to keep the game in its happy mood plus some cut scenes where you learn about the King and the Prince.
Overall, this game was a delight to plplay. It’s a fun, addicting, humorous, and original game that will be renowned for years to come. That is why I can safely say that I love "We Love Katamari".
