This game is very short, but there's so much to do that you'll play this game over many many times. You can end the game at anytime, keep going until the end of the story you made for yourself, or die and there's many titles you can get based on who you helped/hurt, killed/saved, what you said and to who. As for ending sequences, there are 6 endings you can get. You can also use a lot of swords, build up their stats, and collect 'em all. In one game, you build up your sword by paying the blacksmith - or you could kill him and steal his weapon to use on random people in the town. The more you play from all these sides, the more you learn about everyone. Even tiny characters like the policeman in the pass has story depth depending on where you go and who you know. The attention to detail is great - people remember what you do, hair moves, and you can push and pull people during sword duels. It's hard to believe this is on a CD-rom with all the stuff that's in it. Try this game out!

Way of the Samurai is one of the few Samurai games that actually shines in its own way. The graphics aren't the most advanced and really show its age through the years. However, Way of the Samurai actually has a decent storyline. While people may not like the fact that its like a giant time trial, I rather enjoyed it even though I'm one of those people. Good amount of combos, swords heating and breaking, forty different swords and a blacksmith who upgrades them, and multiple endings is really what wowed me in Way of the Samurai. Of course, in this modern age these aspects are not revered but thought of in a way that is standard. I believe that Way of the Samurai is a classic in a game that truly stood out in its own genre.

DO NOT RENT THIS IF YOU HAVE A NEW PS3.
It is not supported and will not work on the new PS3s. I have tried this and it didn't work.
Luckily a friend let me borrow his.

very fun you have the option to beat the game in about 10 minutes if you wanted by just leaving but the different choices you make alter the game which is very fun when you decide what kind of person you want to be throughout i had fun with it..
on the other side the faces shake and the graphics arent what im used but for a ps2 this game is pretty good lots of random events
