dude. DUDE. this game is awesome. i didn't think hack-and-slash could get any more fun than dynasty warriors 5, but this game improved on it.

let's review:

1. characters move much, much faster.
2. upgrades are done in-battle, meaning you no longer have to go through the entire battle for your character to level-up.
3. horses are INSANE FAST.
4. ability to upgrade/fuse individual weapons. this allows you to have some control over your weapons, whereas in the original series you were pretty much stuck with whatever you got.
5. ability to choose three players per level, instead of the "bodyguard" method in earlier games, you get to switch at will between 3 handpicked characters. what's more, you are free to concentrate on upgrading those specific characters if you wish.
6. quicker enemies. sometimes, in warriors 5, archers would stare at me for a full 30 seconds before deciding to let an arrow fly.

if you are even the least bit into dynasty warriors, this game is for you.

Bad

A mere expansion pack. Not a new game.

This is not a great game. It may be a litte fun at first, but then it would quickly die down.

Sound: The sound of this game didn't really change from the first game. This is the same, probably Koei was too lazy to really change it up a bit. However, I did enjoy the sound for a while( because I didn't play the first one). That doesn't reason for koei the use the same sounds. The voice acting is still not very good, despite some improvements, Asians, should be the VA 3/10

Graphics/character designs: This is just an epic fail. The characters design are merely the same as the first one. The game look like this game was during the Three kingdoms period. 2/10

Story: I Many people appeared out of nowhere, and how people in China, fighting battle taking place in Japan. What the settting? Where did the Himiko appear from? 3/10

Gameplay: You have enemies who are idiotic are you keep hacking at them. This could be a some fun for a short while (1 week or so), but fighting idiotic soldiers isn't really fun in the long run. They do have a dream mode (it has some really cool stages, but doesn't last). In addition, THe soldiers need the fight more and stand less. There is also lag in the game even for my PS3 (which is very interesting) 3/10

Replay value: If you can spend your life hacking idiotic enemies, and doing the same thing over and over again. There is plenty of replay value. You can level your characters (92) to 99, but I don't have that kind of enduarce.
3/10

Koei gamers would probably be angry with me. That is ok. Koei you need to actually advance your games a little bit. You should rent this game. Koei fans probably love the game, but if you not (a fan) don't play it.

Pros:
92 characters
Dream mode,
Short fun of hacking emenies

Cons
Gameplay doesn't last.
Story isn't really exciting.
Graphics are horrible, and lag
Low replay value (unless you are immune to hacking)
Same Character designs
Same sound as orginal
VA is poor
