Single Player - Fun, Gears of War type gaming, ie 3rd person view, bloody melee executions, fast pace. I liked the story, but it seemed entirely too short. I've actually known a few individuals who played the Warhammer 40K table top game so I had high expectations I guess, and for me it just didn't quite deliver in the end.
Multi Player - I never was able to even get into a real MP match due to w/e bug the game shipped with that crippled the PS3 MP experience. However I did play a MP game by myself in a private match and was able to make it to level 2 LOL. Also, this is another one of those "Elite Pass" games where you have to have bought the game new to get online for free or buy a $10 pass, however you can play for free until level 6, assuming you can find a match.
More on the MP bug, I did read on the official forum board for the game the devs had a patch ready to go to fix it but i waited a little over a week after i read that and never saw the patch, so in the end i sent it back. Gamefly, i would suggest making a nice drink coaster out of this title or something else because it doesn't make a good game as it is currently unless you are just a Wahammer 40K fanatic, but I would imagine even they would be dissapointed.
This game is unique in its' own way. I have played FPS games for a while now and this one I like. The melee combat in this game is cool. Having hoards of orcs swarming your way and you start hacking and slashing. The switching from gun to melee is nice to have. Graphics are decent in the game. I have seen better but it is not always about the graphics, it's about the game play.
I haven't played the MP or even tried because of problems. The campaign is fairly short which I did not like. There weren't many weapons in the game as well.
All and all it is a good game to rent. Try it out to see if you like it or not.
