The Good: - Graphics really capture the look of W&G - Original voice actors - Co-Op is available at all times (after tutorial) and the second play can join/leave any time. - The game world is much larger than I expected. - As you gain new gadgets you can reach new areas of the city that you couldn't before. - Autosaves after every mission you complete and the save takes a second but doesn't stop you from playing. - Herding the animals can be tricky to learn at first but it's still fun to do. - It's fun to just run around town and hit things. - You can play 1-on-1 soccer just by getting a ball and going to the field.
The Bad: - As with nearly all 3rd person games, the camera can be a real problem at times. Even to the point of having to reload the game because the camera will get stuck with a building blocking the view. Sometimes it'll fix this, but not always.
So, overall I think it's a lot of fun to play and very well put together. I haven't played it single player much but I find the co-op mode a blast to play with my wife or daughter.
If you find claymation and English accents funny, or are already a Wallace and Gromit fan, I suspect that this is a game for you. The controls are not always intuitive, but are not overly difficult either. The graphics and game play are solid, but there is nothing revolutionary either. It is a worth while game that will hold up well over the years as a good example of the current generation of video games.
If you are a fan already, it's probably worth your while. If you are not, it will make a fine rental, or purchase when it hits the bargain section.
